Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information may pass through East Feliciana Parish Busted Mugshots when a reader views a page, uses a search widget, or sends a message. The project does not create official arrest records and does not host booking-photo galleries. Government offices and outside providers have their own privacy rules, so read the policy on the site that receives a request.

Information That May Be Collected

A search widget may send the query, selected location, and related technical information to the third-party provider that returns a result. The provider controls its own storage and terms. If a reader sends a message, the project may receive the name, email address, message text, and attachments voluntarily supplied. Do not include a Social Security number, financial information, medical information, or a complete identity document.

Normal web operation can also produce technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, approximate region, pages viewed, and date and time. Cookies or similar technologies may be used by the website, analytics provider, search partner, advertising partner, or embedded service. The project does not use this notice to claim that every linked site collects the same fields.

How Information Is Used

Technical information may be used to deliver pages, prevent abuse, understand general traffic, troubleshoot errors, and keep the service available. Contact messages may be used to respond, maintain a record of the request, or investigate a reported technical problem. Search queries are used to return the requested result through the selected provider. The project does not create a government booking file from a search query.

Information may be shared with search providers, hosting and analytics vendors, advertising partners, service providers that help operate the site, or law enforcement when required by a valid legal process or needed to address a security issue. A linked sheriff, court, police, DOC, BOP, ICE, news, or third-party page receives information under its own policies when a reader leaves this site.

Outside Links and Security

Official record links and news links lead to other domains. This project does not control what those sites collect, how long they retain a query, or whether a page is current. A search partner may have its own pricing, account requirements, cookies, and privacy language. Review the destination policy before submitting information.

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information handled by the site, but no internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed secure. Do not send confidential case materials through an informal contact route. Use the sheriff, police department, Clerk of Court, DOC, BOP, or ICE when the record itself is needed.

Age and User Choices

This project is not directed to children under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor's information was sent to the site may request review. The site will consider reasonable requests to access, correct, delete, or limit use of information supplied directly to the project, subject to legal, security, recordkeeping, and technical limits. A third-party provider must receive a request under that provider's own process.

A reader may disable cookies in a browser, decline to use a search widget, avoid sending a message, or request that a directly supplied message be removed. Removing a message from this site does not remove a government record, a news story, a third-party page, or a search-engine index.

Changes to This Notice

The privacy notice may be revised when the site, search widgets, vendors, or applicable law changes. The date of the current page should be checked when a privacy question matters. Continued use after a change means the reader has had an opportunity to review the revised language.

Records reminder. This project is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. No information on this site may be used for credit, employment, insurance, housing, tenant screening, hiring, or another purpose governed by that law. Arrest information is not a conviction.
